Road To Hell

I went to see some old friends this week who live in the north of England, well South Yorkshire to be exact. I had a great time catching up with all of the news and events that had happened in the couple of years past. All in all, I had a great time.

Whilst I was up in the north of England, there was all this talk about ‘flash flooding’ on the news and media, to be honest I didn’t really take much notice at the time. However it was eventually decided that we cut the trip slightly short and to come home a day earlier, as many roads where getting cut off etc.

It was on the journey home that I realised the difficultly this country has when we have some ‘real’ weather, this includes snow, rain or wind!

It was chaos, that’s the only way describe the madness that ensued. Major sections of the motorways had been closed and to be honest just trying to head south was an absolute knightmare! I think it took us around 2.5 hours to get there, however getting back home took around 7 hours! Ouch I hear you say? Damn right. I have realised just how much I hate sitting in traffic

Just to get an idea of the floods endured by this country, I have included an image taken from the BBC News website. The location is in South Yorkshire.

 

 

Ah, I feel a bit better after that little rant. Apologies for the totally random and not so interesting post

 

Closing note: I realised how much i missed certain things, if only for a couple of days! My guitar and my wieghts

 

Season One | Episode 1 | The Beginning

Well, i have done it. I have finally created a blog and now comes the difficult part, writing some worth while posts.
This will hopefully be the first of many regular postings.

Now i must warn you, some posts will be serious thoughts about my day, some posts will be precise, thought provoking observations (well hopefully?!) and others will just be random jibberish. So be warned!

Oh well, that’s the first post. I will be back.
